I know a cue when I hear it:

Melissa and Melinda were born on a furry Earth where approximately 2% of all births are 'Exotics'; i.e. they possess attribute that are beyond the standard norm.  Most of these variations are minor -- odd hair and fur colors, multiple digits and/or breasts, for example.  Melissa and Melinda are considered the most 'variant' of the Exotics.  The two live in New Venice, a suburb of New Orleans where they make a living as a singer and dancer at the Sweet Shop, a pastry/bar/restaurant/burlesque show run by  another exotic called Big Daddy.  Melissa and Melinda, despite the rumors, are not gay, having several male lovers and 'friends with benefits'.  The twins, however, reserve the true depths of their feeling for each other, something they feel lot the least bit guilty about since they share both control and sensation of their shared body.
